Mr & Mrs Follett – A November Wedding in Shaftesbury

Well, we are certainly well into 2020 and I’m sat here reading articles about how crazy the real life world is at the moment – so I’m burying myself into the Wedding world and looking back at 2019 and what better place to begin than with Natalie and Ed’s special day.

I first met Natalie and Ed over Skype (not forgetting their cat that made a debut!) and from that first call, I had such a buzz of excitement every time I thought about their Wedding day.

On the 2nd of November I arrived to photograph Natalie and her Bridesmaids as they were all getting ready – the atmosphere was already incredible.

These girls were the type of girls you want need at every party. From the moment I joined them, I was made to feel so welcome, I was in stitches as they told me so many funny stories and had a lump in my throat as they presented Natalie with a scrapbook they had made full of their favourite memories.

The morning fly by and it was soon time to join Ed at the prettiest Church in Shaftesbury.

I feel like this is the right time to talk about the weather on your day. I think we all dream of beautiful sunshine and to feel warm, but this is Britain, we can’t guarantee it and Natalie and Ed proved that even rain does not spoil your day in the slightest.

Huddled under huge umbrellas, everyone was full of giggles as they tried to keep dry. Natalie was an absolute superstar and the wind and rain didn’t seem to bother her in the slightest and she had the biggest smile as she made her way to her ceremony.

The Church service was so personal and was made even more special when a close family member took part of the ceremony.

A break in the rain came at the most perfect time and we snuck outside for a few group photographs before it was back to their Farmhouse for some secret couple shots.

It was then time to for the new Mr & Mrs Follett to join their family and friends and walking into the marquee I was completely blown away.

The decor was incredible and a local company Love with Letters had provided the most beautiful, classy props which tied the room together.

The rest of the celebrations were filled with laughter, dancing and I don’t think I saw either Natalie or Ed without a smile on their face.

These two proved that rain certainly is lucky on your wedding day and they know how to throw one hell of a party!
