Goodbye 2023

How are we here already? We are closing in on the end of 2023 and in so many ways it feels that yet again the past 12 months has gone in the blink of an eye.

Each year I find myself sat with a box of Christmas Chocolates to keep me company as I delve into my hard drives to put together my favourite moments of the past Wedding Season.

The months always seem to pass in such a blur of shooting and editing, it always feels extra sweet to be forced to slow down and look back over each and every gallery.

I must admit my shortlist began at over a thousand, but I’ve somehow managed to get it down to an acceptable blog amount (I think!).

What’s been obvious this year is each and every Wedding has been bursting with personality. All of my gorgeous couples have planned unique weddings to them.

I loved being invited onto family properties which had been transformed into the perfect settings, and the amount of dogs and horses that joined the celebrations this year!

Also, would I be British if I didn’t say extra kudos to all of you who embraced the weather. We had it all this year didn’t we!?

I lost count of the amount of times that we ran outside in the rain in fits of giggles but managed to capture the most epic rainy shots.

It quickly then turned into the warmest Summer which bought with it garden games and the dreamiest sunsets.

I can never truly express I am for the continued trust and support making this year my thirteenth as a Wedding Photographer.

Of course it sounds cliche, but by you inviting me to be part of your journey, it helps me on mine too.

Not only do you help me provide for my family, but waking up, jumping in the car and knowing I’m about to capture another Wedding still does feel like another pinch me moment.

2024 is set to be my busiest yet, so I’m enjoying soaking in the memories before buckling in for the next rollercoaster before blinking and realising it’s December again.

To those of you that have made it to the end of this post, I promise we’re at the good part now.

Happy New Year to you all and bring on 2024!
